So far so good.

Premier Designate Doug Ford is keeping to his word of lowering taxes, Gas prices, Climate Change which believe it or not, is affecting the price we are paying at the gas pumps. In Ontario, the average price is over a dollar a litre, which thanks to these liberals, won’t be going down.

If, you want to know the Biggest difference you could see in the election result it was probably that Kathleen Wynne  was promising the world to everyone and Doug was ultimately promising to spend a lot less than the liberals and NDP. All through the campaign, you could hear Kathleen and Andrea Horwath mention about Doug Ford for not presenting a fully costed platform. As if it mattered. Maybe he didn’t have too. Because he was the only one talking about spending less, lower hydro rates, lower gas prices. You ask my opinion and that’s something I’d likely be interested in hearing. Forget about the price. Deal with that later.

Anyways, Mr. Ford has met with Chrystia Freeland and is ready to work in support with her and Justin Trudeau. He wants this Trade dispute with the U.S. and these tariffs done away with. ASAP. And that tells that he’s a smart man and knows how to take a position in a situation. Sometimes liberals and Conservatives, because they can meet somewhere down the middle of the political spectrum, they can agree with each other.

Not NDP though. They are a political party with extreme policies, like their refusal to order back to work legislation to union supporters who happen to be on strike.

Further to Mr. Doug Ford, he will be scrapping Ontario’s Cap and Trade Carbon Tax. This is the one that gives us high gas prices. He will also be challenging the Federal Government’s Authority to impose a carbon tax. They will challenge it legally.

If they are unsuccessful, they will definitely work to ease the tax burden on the Province by giving a tax break of some kind. But in short, I think he’s off to a good start. Of course others would say otherwise. But, he’s doing what he said. And if he stays with that course, he and his Members will be successful. I just pray he seeks God for wisdom.
