I’m a Born-Again Christian. I have the Bible right in front of me. I read it everyday. I also pray everyday and go to Church each week. My Mom taught me how to read the Bible while I was growing up and because of that, I made a decision to follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour at a young age. That’s a good thing. Recently, I watched a Church Service where I saw many young people about the same age as I was, get baptised and make a decision to follow Christ. Praise The Lord! But when you hear about things like banning the Bible in different States on certain school boards, it’s wrong because that keeps children from hearing about the Bible. Hearing about God and Salvation. The Bible is how we hear about God. Banning it from schools is wrong.
Professing to be wise, they became fools. Romans 1:22.
And this is foolishness. Because, you shouldn’t think you’re going to find the right thing to do, later on in life if you’re not reading the Bible. After I read the column attached to this post, I decided that the sentence here was the most awful thing to say, “A Texas school district pulled the Bible from library shelves after complaints from members of the public opposed to conservative efforts to ban some books.” My guess is that those books they wanted banned, were related to LGBT types of books. That’s Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender. People who are generally gay. These Conservatives wanted those types of books banned and so the Democrats fought back by having the Bible banned. But, let’s be realistic. I don’t want the Bible to be banned. Not in any way, shape or form. Any person is ultimately responsible for their actions. Here’s what the Bible says about this.
Homosexuality is wrong and is sin against God.
You should remember that. You can read that in Romans 1. Here’s what else you should know. Also in Romans 1 you can read that God gave them over to their passions and their depraved minds. They became fools, they did not think it was worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God. Inotherwords, they worked to have the Bible banned in schools. This, so our kids couldn’t read it.
It’s one thing to choose to not read the Bible, it’s another to have it taken away from you.
Here’s a decision we can all make. Keep the Word of God in schools. I think the Star Spangled Banner should be played before each school day. The date should be announced each day, and the Lord’s Prayer should be played each day before the school day. We did this when I was in school. We would sing O Canada and the Lord’s Prayer after. I wouldn’t want the Bible to be banned. Not from the Toronto District School Board. It’s becoming bad these days that the only way a boy or a girl can hear about Salvation is through family. If they’ve been brought up that way. And even if a boy or girl hears about God, they still need to pursue to find out more. They can do that by reading the Bible. In the school library. During lunch hour. You’d better believe that a person becomes changed and transformed when they read about God and Salvation. It’ll change anyone. I would honestly make a deal that if a group of democrats want their books put back onto their shelves, I want the Word of God back onto bookshelves as well. I’ll take that deal anytime. Here is the latest:
