Happy New Year. This post is about bribery.

In the last election I thought Conservatives would win. But that didn’t happen. I noticed from the beginning of the night that liberals were ahead in seat count, and they stayed ahead. I wondered why? I thought Pierre Poilievre had momentum because he had this incredibly great answer to one of Mark Carney’s questions (this was during that debate) that he swatted out of the ball park. That’s Momentum! But instead he lost in his own riding in Carleton which went to the liberals, and well as you already know, the liberals won, Conservatives lost. I’m not sure what happened there in that election back in April 2025, I just thought there would be a change. I noticed how close the liberals were to a Majority but that they wouldn’t quite get it. Until I started to see what they were trying to do. I do stress the word TRYING! Which I think is wrong, is immoral, unethical. So ask yourself the Question:

Are they actually bribing people to cross?

I find it a bit of a coincidence that suddenly four or five people suddenly wanted to leave. Chris d’Entremont and Michael Ma to name two. And I think this is because there was an incentive to join. I also think there will be at least one more that will cross in the near future so the liberals can get that Majority they want so badly want and then treat Parliament like that. If it happens, my guess is that you won’t see another election for another three or four years. The Opposition will just fade away, everything will just go silent. A budget will hardly get mentioned, people will hardly notice.

Four more years of this.

I may be retired by the time that happens. I’m not looking forward to it. Media won’t be broadcasting anything, unless it’s something they can’t avoid like, Alberta holds a referendum on separation from Canada, Trump does something else stupid, China or Russia Invades, something outrageous.

I wonder what’s worse? Foreign Invasion or four more years of liberal rule?

I think what this proves is that liberals really love power. And they will do anything to get it, keep it at all costs, who cares what happens in the future, we’ll deal with it then, we have the media on our side to jump all over the Conservatives and to deflect when we’re in power. If that’s your idea of how Government should operate, well good luck to you. I’ll still vote Conservative. My post is based on Christopher Nardi column in the National Post today.
