I’m going to taking a very good shot at Trudeau for this but when you look at this latest scandal of the Commander and Chief of the Canadian Armed Forces Jonathan Vance and the allegations of Inappropriate Behavior against a woman of lower rank than he is, and well, Trudeau didn’t know anything, so that means just one thing,
I wasn’t informed so you can’t blame me for it can you?
That of course is ridiculous. Of course he knew. But he’ll never say will he. This is just “Get power at all costs, keep power at all costs” The Privy Council knew, the PMO and Chief of StaffKatie Telford knew, among other people. But tell the boss? No way. Apparently this happens a lot. Starting with Jodie Wilson Raybould, continuing to the WE charity where his Mom, his Wife Sophie and his brother were all speakers and were being paid by the WE charity. It continues to the GG who treated her staff with disdain and contempt and it continues to Jonathan Vance. You shouldn’t be making the mistake that he didn’t know anything about these allegations. With Vance it doesn’t look good to be giving someone a big raise to around $291,000, and then discover his allegations of sexual harassment. I didn’t know so you can’t blame me. For anything! And that’s the problem. The Minister of Defense is being asked for his resignation. But, let’s not make any mistakes, Trudeau knew, and he gave this guy a big raise. And he knew about it beforehand.
This is Trudeau’s fault.
He is to blame. And Canadians are smart enough to put two and two together and figure that out, and be held accountable. Public Opinion Polls should reflect that. But, it’s not. They know he’s a crook and we’re letting him get away with it. And that’s wrong folks. I wouldn’t expect Erin O’Toole to get away with it, why should Trudeau? Let’s get together and vote these liberals out because they don’t in fact deserve our vote for them. The only thing Trudeau tries to do is to say things to try to stay out of trouble. I think it should be remembered that Gerald Butts and Katie Telford were brought on board by Trudeau just days after winning the election in 2015. This was done so he could stay out of trouble, avoid any controversy or scandal. And he can get it from his two loyal friends. Whom he tried to get their houses paid for so they can move from Toronto to Ottawa. Taxpayers money. You’d better believe that this has been planned on from the beginning.
Get Power at all costs and keep it at all costs
Those two people, even today are trying to make sure it happens. Also the media. Will you ever read or see anything on TV about Jonathan Vance or Katie Telford and her appearing on the Defense Committee? Not a word. Doesn’t that say something? Well, not enough. You’ll see Trudeau when he talks about Covid 19 won’t you. It’s at that time when members of the Media are allowed to ask him about the subject at hand, plus any other issues. Do you hear any questions related to it? Not much. But even if you did, will you see anything on TV? hear anything on the radio or in the newspaper? Not a word. Basically nobody will hear anything. Trudeau didn’t hear anything and we’re not being informed. So much for the Media being an essential part of democracy. They do have to do their jobs you know. Take a look at the latest by Kelly McParland of NP.
Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole is not on top of things when it comes to the Environment or as Justin Trudeau puts it, Climate Change. He has people, MP’s who don’t agree with his plan. And he better deal with it because if he doesn’t, well Trudeau and all liberals are just going to make fun of it, and nobody, including those in his political party will support him for it. Right now, we are paying over a dollar per litre for gasoline. And a liberal government big or small is going to keep it there. Conservatives need to come together to fix it and change so that issues with the environment are kept safe for everyone.
One of the best books that I’ve read about a Conservative movement across Canada was written by Tasha Kheiriddin and Adam Daifallah,Rescuing Canada’s Right. A Blueprint for a Conservative Revolution. In Chapter 15 it about the environment and the Free-Market of Environmentalism. The Environment doesn’t have to be done entirely by any Government, it can be by us, the Canadian Citizen or by the Private Sector (Business). A good reason for doing this is that private property rights encourage stewardship of resources; and Government subsidies degrade the environment.
There should be Free Market solutions.
The liberals idea is to own it, so that nothing happens to it. Nothing can be built, wildlife can roam free without any interference from humans. But, we can do that as well. When we own it, we want to take care of it as well. But, with the liberals we’re also paying for it. At the Gas Pumps. And if you live in Ontario or anywhere East of there you’re getting it not from Alberta, but Saudi Arabia or some Middle Eastern Country that has rich oil reserves. not Israel though.
The liberals, and the Mainstream Media (MSM) want you to think that Conservatives don’t care about this. They’d rather build infrastructure, destroy farmland, dig everything up and build something big like a highway and we’ll deal with the environmental aspect of it another time. Here’s what the Toronto Star said recently about highway 413. It is suppose to be built off of hwy. 400 and extend to the highway 401\407 highway. It will be 52 Km long. Whoever takes it will avoid the series of highways coming through Toronto at 5 o’clock in the afternoon which anyone will tell you will take you a lot longer. It’s good particularly for Truck Drivers coming in from up North because they’re usually carrying a load to the U.S. Border and they can’t get through without passing through the 401 in the Toronto area.
But, here’s the Toronto Star who says it’s a bad idea because of the farmland, wetlands, endangered species, that building this highway is going to destroy. Doug Ford wants to build it (today they talked about him resigning plus the election he’ll lose next year if he stays on), and so of course they’re against it. It’s not a bad idea if the liberals do it, but only if Doug Ford does. In this, It suggest that Conservatives have no regard for the Environment and liberals do. Lost is the fact that past Conservative PM such as Stephen Harper, Brian Mulroney, and Ontario Premier Doug Ford care very deeply about the environment. The reason a Conservative Government introduced a tax rebate on Public Transit was so more people would take public transit. It was cancelled by former Finance Minister Bill Morneau in 2017 budget. I remember him calling it to expensive. Not for me it wasn’t. At one time the Conservatives went on record as opposing the Kyoto Protocol and what did the liberals have to say about that? Well you hate the environment, you don’t want to do anything about it and that’s a bad thing, so you shouldn’t be voted for. I suspect there’s some media that say that too. But nothing could be further from the Truth. Every Conservative MP takes into account the environmental impact of every project built.
I once saw a Conservative Candidate talk about a school in his riding that was so very special because it was a school for kids with disabilities. Even blind kids who could read Braille out in the school yard. No kidding? If he cares about the kids that go school in his riding of Parkdale/Highpark you’d better believe he cares about the environment around him as well. He was a Candidate running for MPP in that riding. He lost, but he was a smart guy that I admire. The Kyoto thing was a bad idea. The Conservatives should have a plan to counter the liberals environmental ideas.
The book says that young people in particular care about these things. I’m not really sure why? but they do. And maybe we should. Much of the media don’t like the Conservatives and never have anything good to say about them even on the best of days.
The Conservatives need policies that work
There needs to be common sense and private solutions that work for them. The Green Party is getting more and more voters which I think shows that the environment is starting to matter to Canadians. The Conservatives can gain from this. If there was a Conservative Minority Government, with Green Party support, the Conservatives could reach an agreement on some piece of legislation like a budget and use the Greens to support them. It would prove first of all to Canadians that Conservatives DO care about the environment and it would confuse the liberals for Conservatives finding common ground on environmental policy. The Conservatives should be presenting things like a “free-market alternative.” This will obviously oppose the liberals Climate Change (CC) plan which is to impose a tax and make money off it. If the Conservatives come up with an alternative,
How can the liberals oppose an idea that the Greens support?
Sounds like a good idea to me if you don’t mind me tooting my own horn. You could stand on just that, which makes it all worth it (insert smiley face here). One other thing the book mentions is this organization: Property and Environment Research Center (PERC). This Organization is based in the U.S. but we could also use one of these in Canada. Some of the things they support is: Property Rights, Government subsidies will often degrade the environment (the idea being that if government owns it we won’t take care of it, if we own we’ll do a better job), but Market incentives spur individuals to conserve resources and protect environmental quality; also polluters will be held liable if they harm the environment. PERC’s starting position is that protecting property rights is key to protecting the environment. There’s also other things such as ITQ’s (Individual Transferable Quotas) which allows for fishermen to own a portion of the annual fish they catch. This is their job, career, or livelihood. It’s all they do. This can apply to those who live on the East Coast. Nova Scotia YHZ, Halifax. Remember this:
Government is best which governs the least.
This is a quote that is supported by Al Gore. I agree with it too. But let’s not go to far with that quote, we do need a certain amount of Government intervention I think. An environmental plan should empower individuals and communities to protect natural resources. We can help the Environment. The left wants us to do the same thing. I just read in the David Suzuki Website that encourages us to do things like eat for a climate-stable planet. Which means no meat, eat organic food, drink Soy milk (I think it taste yuk!), don’t waste it and grow your own food. Suzuki, he owns millions in private property, I wonder if he grows his own. Or he’s got servants to cook his own. The other thing we should note in his website is to get politically active and vote. I’ll agree with voting. Young or old we should all vote. In Australia it is required to or you will be fined. So getting politically active. When David Suzuki talks about voting for the Government who takes this Climate Change serious, he means liberals. Not Conservatives.
When you own land, you want to take care of it.
That is a Conservative way of taking care of the Environment. It doesn’t look like it does it. Can we take care of all of it? Yes! One thing we should know and what the book says in the last page of the Chapter (page 238) is that their ideas are not accurately represented in the media. If you look at the Toronto Star and see what it said about Highway 413 it said there are 8 developers who own the land where the proposed highway is suppose to go and that these developers all have connections to the Ontario PC Party. Also, take a look at the very first sentence of this editorial and you’ll see this:
Building a new 400-series highway across York, Peel and Halton regions was always a bad idea.Toronto Star.
The key word was always. Maybe it was, or not. But you’ll never hear of how the previous liberal Govt. was moving forward with building this new highway. But now that Ford wants to build it well, let’s jump on him for it. I’m pretty sure that the previous was going to build it wasn’t going to be mentioned. But this was printed by the Editorial Board on April 5th. And if you look down near the end, you’ll read that this Ford Government “gutted environmental protections and eased the way for developers and urban sprawl developments.” See the idea? Conservatives are bad for the environmental. But if the property is privately owned, and you want to do something like take care of it, and put a new highway through it, give the PC Party of Ontario at the same time, how can that be so bad? How’s that for misrepresentation? If the Star thinks that this is such a bad idea, than what does the Opposition have to say about it? I’m asking because, what if liberal leader, Steven Del Duca wants to build this highway sometime in the future. This, when there is a liberal govt.
If this happens well, I don’t think we’re going to hear any boos from the Star
This is what makes them biased, and why we shouldn’t listen to them. It’s not them that’s speaking it’s a biased opinion. It’s okay for liberals to do it but not Conservatives. Not Doug Ford. It’s not what I believe either. So here’s the end. Take a look at the liberal Climate plan and it says that Erin O’Toole voted to deny that climate change is real. That helps if you don’t have a plan really. It also said that the liberals wanted to strengthen their plan by adding 64 new measures, and also by adding $15 billion dollars to the cause. That’s the price of gasoline you’re paying. Ask yourself this question:
Are you going to see your money at working.
The answer is no. You won’t. We’re going to pay for it and the Government is going to take care of it. Won’t they? Yea, and there will never be another liberal scandal after this. Insert another smiley face here. The Conservatives have to put a significant amount of time, energy and attention into this matter. They do care about the Environment though. Each and every one of them. Their foundation should be based on Private Ownership which encourages stewardship of land, and a Free Market. The only thing that should require Government intervention is in law or regulation where polluters must be penalized. It is God’s will for us to take care of this earth and everything in it. This is hurting Erin O’Toole and the Conservatives because a look at their popularity these days and well it looks like in the next election they’re going to be losing more seats, and as much as you can hear Erin O’Toole talk about this, he’s got people, including those in his own Cabinet who disagree with him. Some say he supports a Carbon Tax. That’s a bad idea because the liberals have already implemented that so it must be a bad idea. He must present an alternative to the liberals plan. But these are MP’s. They’ve been in power once already and they have smart people working for them.
Why can’t they come up with a plan?
Why can’t they ask their American Counterparts or read the book I’ve read? Rescuing Canada’s Right, A blueprint for a Conservative Revolution by Tasha Kheiriddin and Adam Daifallah, forward by Mark Steyn? Read Chapter 15. Greening the Conservative Movement. Can one of the Authors work to become an MP? I’d love to see it. Let’s get on top of this. Let’s pray about it. I’d love to see Conservatives and Greens working together for a common cause. I’ve discovered Erin O’Toole’s environmental plan so click on it to see. Good news. Smiley Face here.
The Star seems to have a big hang-up about deficits. Today, Thursday, March 25, 2021, It flashed on it’s Front Page big bold red numbers about the Ontario Budget and the deficit it would be running for the rest of this decade. Forget about doing that to Justin Trudeau and the federal liberals and the hundreds of billions he’s been running since day one. Does anyone even remember the surplus the previous Conservative Govt. left. I think it was around $2 billion dollars. Not today though. We should remember that whoever forms the next Majority Government is going to have to deal with that deficit. But anyways, back to this Ontario budget. Of course they are opposed. A look at the front page and you see the headline: “Spending spree misses some necessary targets” by Martin Regg Cohn. Was it a bad budget? The one big difference you’ll see between a liberal budget and a Tory budget is taxes.
Liberals are a Tax and Spend bunch.
While Conservatives are not. Unless it becomes necessary. The GST is one example of it. But, In Justin Trudeau’s case he’s not afraid to raise taxes, he’ll never lower them, but he’s also running a deficit in the $Billions$ And hasn’t had a budget in two to three years. This is what’s so scary. The accumulation of this debt is going to be so very bad, so out of control that he’s going to wait and wait until another election comes along before this really bad budget comes along and it’s going to be tax increases, and maybe even more debt, year after year. Imagine in the HofC in the year 2025, and PMJT is trying to defend the huge spending spree and talking about the backbone of hardworking Canadians, trying to pay down this deficit he created. Imagine the Opposition hounding him about deficits, higher taxes, Government MP’s taking trips to hot places on the Government Jet, Taxpayers dime. Privilege, while it asks Canadians to suck it up and avoid taking trips during the cold months of the year? Then ask yourself this question:
Do you want to go through that?
Here’s my answer, NO, I don’t want to go through that! You don’t have to either. You can choose not to vote for any liberal MP. A Conservative Govt. cares for the well being of Canadians, as liberals do. They will make sure that everyone obeys and wears a mask to protect everyone and to use social distancing practices so no one gets sick. They will make the distribution of all the brands of vaccine are distributed fairly and equally to all Canadians and to those who are most vulnerable. Those who are older. The difference might be in who can have the best ideas for distributing the vaccine to every person. Federally, it’s a matter of having a good source of procurement. For that, I would choose Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner. A very hard working MP. Also very smart. The first thing a Conservative Gov’t I think should do is to have a budget. We need to get back on of the money we’re spending and know how bad this spending is. Not Trudeau who won’t be presenting anything until at least next year. Do the liberals even have a right to oppose a budget given that they haven’t had one for two years? You should make a note of this: Not having a budget for this long is only asking for a recipe for disaster. Wait until we get there. It’ll be awful. and I don’t want to go through it. Neither should you.
Vote for Erin O’Toole and a Conservative Government. Even a Minority one. Don’t give Trudeau a chance to make life more miserable for you. Stand up for Canada! Vote Conservative.
A lot of what the Toronto Star writes doesn’t make a lot of sense when you compare it to the National Post and it’s Conservative support. Maybe the weather outside makes sense. You can’t take that out of concept. But when you’re only seeing things through red sunglasses well, that makes it hard see or read. The Editorial title reads, “Province must help with costs” So, that means that the Ontario Govt. should be helping Colleges and Universities with the money they’ve lost due to Covid19. In particular, Laurentian University. I’m not really sure why they think you should know about this, but I doubt anyone’s paying attention. Am I being sarcastic?
Well, yea I am. You can stop reading if you want. But if you want to know more, keep reading. I’m not usually rude to people. They are holding this government responsible for this funding crisis because well, It cut tuition costs by 10%, It did nothing to try to make up for the ten percent loss, which they say cost $440 million. So what? Governments don’t go bankrupt do they? for these past two years and a bit this government has been doing it’s best to try to cut costs in several areas of Government programs and this is one of them. This is because of a previous liberal government that ran spending through the roof! And I wonder,
Why doesn’t this Editorial Board explain that!
This is a very significant reason for cutting back on costs. The Star would like you to Tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend and if you have to, run a deficit. And it holds this government responsible for not. Wait for the shock they get when they find out that this government won’t be paying anything in the next budget.
“The provincial budget later this month is the time to do that.”
Since they’re interested in wanting something done in this budget, I thought maybe they could offer a comment on the federal liberals and their budget. When was it? March 19, 2019. Nearly two years ago. There comes a time when you must see right from wrong, not liberal and Conservative. Which is why when you compare these two newspapers Toronto Star to National Post, there’s so much of a big difference between the two. Read the Post and you’ll actually get Common Sense. Not the Star who after the gory details from Jody Wilson Raybould at the Justice Committee had a whole bunch of letter writers saying things like: “I blame the Opposition.” and “Jody should be kicked out of the liberal caucus.”
Read the Post and you’ll actually get Common Sense.
Read the Star today and you won’t see what people are thinking of or what they’re concerned about. How ’bout the weather, well, that’s on the front page. A Star exclusive on TTC and it’s Law Enforcement Officers plus a Police Officer maybe. Read more and you’ll see something about Harry and Meghan and their interview with Oprah Winfrey. I think that’s what on people’s mind, not Colleges and Universities. People tend to identify with these places as having money and that the small little guy who’s running a small business is the one who needs the help.
Now read the NP and you’ll see this, letters from writers who have something to say on Meghan Markle and Buckingham Palace. I think even in all this controversy the Queen is an honorable lady that people can look up too. I have the upmost respect for her, and for Prince Charles. My Mom and Dad have had a personal conversation with him at Fort York Armouries. Another letter asks why Canada is 43rd in vaccine rollout. The Front page calls China as being a threat to Canada. These are the things that matter to Canadians. Not Colleges and Universities. Not over money issues, there’s no government that runs out of money. When a reader calls in he/she is usually responding to a story written a few days earlier on a topic. That should dictate what’s on people’s minds. But if you read letters to the editor you’ll read this, A shot taken at a Conservative MP. Derek Sloan, on the issue of abortion, cars not being the problem in creating climate change, and that the Ontario NDP (that’s Andrea Horvath) sees new cars going electric by 2035. I’ll bet against that. The Star is already offering opinion on Meghan Markle and Prince William and they’re taking their shots at the Queen. They may want to think twice about that because there’s millions of Canadians who loved Princess Diana and love the Queen as well. Don’t be taking any shots at her, she’s a classy woman. And Royalty. I think we should have a Monarchy, even with all the perqs and privileges that come with it.
You can still have integrity with everything else you know.
Read the Front Page of the NP and you’ll read what everyone wants to read. How about the genocide by the Chinese Government against Uyghur people. Is this a bad story? Yes, I think it is. But it’s what matters to Canadians as well. I don’t want to say much more about this. You get the point. This is what people want to read. Let me finish with this.
The book I read about Canada’s Conservatives offers some advice on how on how Government and Media work together. You’d be surprised. And the Star follows right along in this line of thinking. Of course when you’re a Conservative MP you’re roadkill. But listen to this. One of the ways media colour, distort, take out of context, or just lie about is forget the subject and focus on the background. Take Jean Chretien for example. Most media liked him when he was PM because he was a likable guy. Compare him to Stockwell Day, the guy who looked like he was wearing a skin suit. Stephen Harper and his big belly, or that he looked angry or serious all the time? during the Gomery Inquiry, Chretien had to appear before the committee to tell his version of what happened. And he did. Before he arrived, here’s some headlines on what the newspapers had to say: “Le P’tit Gars de Shawinigan Is Back,” trumpeted the Globe and Mail. “Chretien’s Revenge against the Westmount Snobs” CTV News.
Does this sound like someone you’re going to hang out to dry?
Probably not. Read more. On the day when the most juiciest testimony appeared at the Gomery Inquiry, reading about Harper’s anger management skills was deemed more important than Jean Chretien and the Gomery Inquiry. Talk about cover up. Today, if you read into Justin Trudeau, you’ll find he’s in a lot more trouble than Jean Chretien was, there’s another Minority Parliament, Justin just can’t be trusted, he’s not as smart. One way that the Media covers up is to not report on certain issues. Ask people about who Erin O’Toole is and they won’t tell you much. And that fault can fall on this Editorial Board. They won’t mention anything about him, but wait until he becomes the Prime Minister and they’ll hate him because well, he’s a Conservative PM. Are they suppose to? No. They shouldn’t. And I wouldn’t work for someone where I can’t give my opinion. The idea of a journalistic magazine or newspaper is to write about the stuff that (should) matter to people. It is a utility to inform us of Government policy, and decisions that actually affect our lives. An Opinion piece that tells of a money crisis at a University should force the Government to pay back the money it cut from Colleges and Universities. Ten percent of it. This is not the Government’s fault. This is the time when we should be cutting back. Because of the previous liberal Government’s spending. And Debt.
The most glaring part of this Opinion is that it doesn’t mention anything whatsoever about Debt. And that this government has a duty and responsibility to bring everybody in the Province of Ontario out of debt, so taxes don’t go up. In the future. If this Editorial Board wants to help, it can do so by writing a column on the federal government and the last budget they tabled. Which was March 19, 2019. That’s two years ago. Will they have anything to say? I doubt it. And that explains why very few people read it.
I hate to say it, but after today’s vote in the HofC on the Conservative Motion to create a special Anti-Corruption committee to probe into the government use of pandemic relief programs and the money being used to fund it. It’s a lot of money and some believe some of it is being used for liberal insiders, friends, and so on, for their own personal gain and benefit. Such as members of Trudeau’s family, wife, brother, mother, and so on, who have been paid to speak for the WE Organization. Vote:180-146.
Jagmeet Singh and the NDP seem to hold the balance of Power, and they, along with the Green member as well as two Independents all voted in favor of the Government. Which leaves the question, WHY? Did nobody smell a rat? Yes, I think someone did smell something that was really something awful. Would they provoke an election? NO! We should remember a few things. First, No everyone is ready to go to the polls just yet because they can’t afford it. Also, nobody wants to go to the polls and risk losing their seats. To a liberal Majority.
It was the liberals who wanted an Election.
Not the Conservatives, or anyone else for that matter. And it’s not a good idea for a Committee to have special powers to look into government spending. Which is why the liberals voted against it. I think, the Conservatives would be doing the same. This is politics after all. What I think gets me is the NDP didn’t ask for anything in return. Jagmeet Singh did not work any deal that would prop up the liberals in exchange for something. Or anything. What this actually does is it makes the Conservatives look bad in presenting their Motion. I don’t like that very much. The Greens and the two Independent MP’s also voted with the liberals. And they did it without asking for anything in return. Not that they could. So Why?
I think the liberals are very confident about what’s coming, and what will be coming in the future. It’s like blackmail. Like giving me a bite of your donut or I’ll tell that you went onto the cars. And getting your way every time. Look for a liberal Majority in another year or two. I hate to say.
Hello everyone. Here’s Allan with a long awaited update. As you are likely aware, Andrew Scheer has resigned and Erin O’Toole in the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, CPC. When he first started, he wasn’t very well known, especially in Quebec. His popularity in that Province was about 3.0%. Then it jumped to 60.5%. That’s a lot of work. A lot of campaigning for people to vote for a new Conservative Leader. I don’t think Justin Trudeau has that much to do. Of course he is from Papineau, Quebec.
Erin O’Toole an MP from Ontario, convinced that Canada was moving in the wrong direction under Justin Trudeau and these liberals, did not speak very good French very well at the beginning, but he sure can now, and I always thought that should be a requirement for every political leader, including Erin O’Toole. I don’t speak french very well, but I would expect that of myself.
There was a couple of things that the O’Toole campaign did to become the next leader. They won the most voters in Quebec who wanted him to be the next Leader. 60.5%; they also put out a campaign that promised only those in Quebec to recognize certain things. Such as: Border Security, Reinforcing the recognition of the Quebecois nation (I’m not sure if I’d go for that one), and local sales taxes on things like video streaming platforms. Immigration is also important to the people of Quebec. And by the way,
My Canada does include Quebec as a Province.
This was just for Quebec. Not the rest of Canada. But, it made a difference because he won over Peter MacKay and the others. And now he has to win again, this time in a general election, over Justin Trudeau and the liberals. Not an easy task. Maybe he won’t do it in the next election (whenever that is), but he should win sometime in the future. We hope. I’ll be volunteering again in the next election. These are the promises that I hope will be fulfilled. Immigration, Sales Tax, etc. This is so Quebec will stay in Canada and we will be a STRONG, prosperous Nation. By strong I mean a Military Defense that can defend this big huge Country. We should expect nothing less. An Army that can be ready to deploy anywhere in 24 hours or less, a Navy with a Carrier fleet at both ends of the Country, and an Air Force with the latest technology. And a Tank Division to boot.
Erin O’Toole is still relatively unknown in Quebec. So they have some work to do. But I’m confident that him and his team in Quebec, as well as all Conservative MP’s in Quebec will work together to change all that when the election finally comes. You’ll see it in their upcoming brochures and the promises that are mentioned. I personally do not want something that mentions Quebec sovereignty.
There’s one more thing. Conservatives think that a majority of their votes are with the Bloq. And so when the election comes, they will be targeting those voters. Listen to this quote:
…the rise of post-sovereignty nationalism in Quebec over recent years has created significant crossover between Conservative and Bloc Quebecois voters in the province.Carl Vallee.
In other words, Conservatives have to start taking away voters from the Bloq, not liberals, who voted for them in 2019. The Conservatives lost the election in 2015 to Justin Trudeau and the liberals, but there was some good news in Quebec where they increased their seat total from six seats to twelve. But ever since they took about 25% of the total vote in 2006 under Stephen Harper, their hold on Quebec has softened. Hopefully that will change. Soon.
“I do believe that the Bloc Quebecois and the federal Conservatives share the same electorate.” Carl Vallee.
I agree with that too. Because I remember in 2006 Gilles Duceppe, the leader of the Bloc Quebecois was campaigning of course in Quebec and for the first few weeks, his biggest complaint was against Paul Martin and the liberals and of course the Sponsorship Scandal. But when Stephen Harper and the Conservatives started to make inroads to Quebec, well that changed his strategy and he stopped talking about anything to do with Sponsorship and everything about how bad the Conservatives were. It changed overnight and I noticed it.
The Conservatives were ranking as high as 27% in Quebec.
The biggest most significant result I’ve ever seen in Quebec with a Conservative Government was in 1988 with Brian Mulroney and the Progressive Conservatives. It was a huge win in Quebec. But, part of the reason for their success in Quebec was that Brian Mulroney was from Quebec. Since then, there hasn’t been a Conservative leader from that Province. But I believe they can still win and beat the liberals, and the Bloc Quebecois combined if they put some work into it. They have some key people in that Province that can help them win. So here is the latest in Erin O’Toole and the Conservative Party of Canada.
Ever since the beginning, Justin Trudeau has been on a regular basis been bringing Doug Ford’s name into the fray. Why? It’s not his record we’re that we’re judging. In fact, Doug Ford could be an awful Leader, but the point is he is the Premier of Ontario because he was democratically elected by the people of Ontario. We will deal with him when the time comes. The point is, Justin Trudeau is the one on record. The one we’re judging right now. His record matters. In the recent English Debate, Andrew Scheer was asking Justin Trudeau why he keeps bringing this up? Andrew mentioned,
“There’s a position open for the Leader of the Ontario liberal party, why don’t you apply for it.” LOL.
Why doesn’t he? In fact, Justin was so adamant about this point that he brought up that name in his very next speech. Trying to make a point? I think he is. But I don’t think it’s having an affect on Ontario voters. Even if people didn’t vote for Doug Ford. This is not a good move by Justin Trudeau. And with one week to go, he’d better change his strategy. Because I voted yesterday, and I didn’t vote for Justin Trudeau, but I didn’t vote for Doug Ford either. And I would imagine that almost all those living in Ontario didn’t either in this federal election campaign.
He talks about “Moving Forward,” what he’s really talking about is more money, more debt, more spending. This, while Andrew Scheer talks about reducing debt. Justin says the Conservatives are cutting taxes only for the wealthy, but one look at the Conservative election promises and you’ll see a promise to restore the 15% Transit Tax Rebate. That’s not for rich people but for people like you and me. And he also wants to help people and Canadians all over who are buying a house for the first time by extending the amortization period from 25 years to 30 years which will reduce monthly mortgage payments. And make changes to the stress test to see if you can afford a house. This will make it easier. This could be good for someone who’s single, with a good income and wants a bigger place, or a Condo. It’s not perfect, but it may be helpful. Justin Trudeau, when it comes to housing, he wants to TAX the equity that comes out of your home. Just like if you cash in your RRSP.
Haven’t wepaid enough!
This will bring in millions for the Government. And I want nothing to do with it. I can picture it now in the HofC during Question Period right after a budget has been presented. All that screaming and yelling from the Opposition benches. Oh the Outrage! I’d be mad too. So, let’s make sure he doesn’t get back into power. That’s one thing I couldn’t afford.
So to close. With Doug Ford being mentioned all the time by Justin Trudeau, I think this is not going to have any influence on the mind of voters come October 21st. And on the pre-voting polls which already started this past weekend. If Doug Ford is unpopular with Ontario, Voters that will be deal with that when the time comes. But the record of Justin Trudeau is what’s at issue. So, it’s not in Trudeau’s best interest to mention this. They’re not going to be thinking about Doug Ford when they vote for Andrew Scheer. Or someone else. Also remember, What liberals call Cuts to education and strikes and labour disputes and government services, We should be calling Government Debt! It was previous debt, debt, and more debt that put things like Autism and hydro and other government services on the chopping block to be cut. To reduce the debt that these services cost. Other governments and some Media (Toronto Star comes to mind), will call it cuts to service. Not debt. Not deficit. Not trying to take responsibility for doing the right thing for the people. Doug Ford may not be popular right now, but he’s got another three years to prove himself as one who’s government is on the right track. We’re doing fine without these liberals who like to spend, spend, spend. Which is exactly what Justin Trudeau is doing.
Question from the Media: Prime Minister, you mentioned last week that is was during a white water rafting expedition it was a costume day, What exactly was that Costume?
Answer from Justin Trudeau: “I am continuing to be open with Canadians, about the mistake I made, this is something that I take responsibility for, this is something, I should have known better, but didn’t, and I will continue to work everyday to fight racism, to fight discrimination, to fight intolerance, in this Country.
Media Member: With all due respect Prime Minister, that wasn’t even close to answering the question, What was that costume?
PM: Um, I have been open with Canadians, I will continue to be open with Canadians, I will continue to fight racism and intolerance everyday, I take responsibility for the terrible mistakes I made in the past, and continue to commit to fight against racism and intolerance everyday.
When it comes to tough questions, Justin Trudeau will not give a direct answer to a direct question. He’s not that smart of a guy. When it comes to questions that are self incriminating, he won’t give an answer. He stands by his talking points. And he’s been doing it that way from DAY 1. No real answers to any questions. Not from the Media, not Question Period, not on issues like the SNC Lavalin, where he first denied any pressure to the Attorney General, Jody Wilson Raybould. And the result was that she, and liberal MP Jane Philbott were booted out from the liberal camp for standing up for the Truth. The Truth that Justin Trudeau doesn’t want you to hear or know about. And we shouldn’t be surprised.
He’s not going to tell you now, is he?
Like I said, he’s been like this since Day 1. And it will continue, if he wins another mandate by the People. I, as a Conservative blogger will be watching his every question from the Media and Question Period. And if you look at the video and see the reaction of all those liberal MP’s looking to get re-elected, you can tell they are paying very close attention to what he is saying, which is a lot of garbage, but they’re hoping to get re-elected. You can bet that they took in the atmosphere to get a feeling of what people are thinking.
Those liberal MP’s behind Justin Trudeau are hoping to get Re-Elected.
Which is why they are listening closely. But let’s not make any mistakes about this, and I think you should be thinking about this before casting a ballot. Justin Trudeau will never give a direct answer to a critical question. He hasn’t for these past four years and it won’t change for four more. I think Andrew Scheer will give better answers to better questions. He won’t be afraid of his policies, his decisions, and won’t get caught in any scandals or controversies that could cause his popularity to drop. Not like Justin Trudeau. And the only reason he doesn’t have an answer to these questions is because it is self-incriminating. In other words:
He’s got something to hide from People!
So much for being “Open with Canadians.” Which he says over and over again. But that doesn’t make it the Truth.
I wish I could include the video of the question to the clown but I can’t find it on the web. I have it on Twitter. You can take my word for it. Here is the latest:
Maybe we should all be upset and appalled at PMJT for not showing up for a Leader’s debate. The other political Leaders (Andrew Scheer, Jagmeet Singh and Elizabeth May), certainly let us know. A forth microphone which is where Justin Trudeau was supposed to have been was left unoccupied. But I think this is a very revealing factor about him. You should remember that his attendance record at Parliament was somewhat dismal. So what’s a leadership debate? Well, it can reveal one obvious fact,
He has a record and doesn’t want to talk about it.
And that’s because it’s a pretty dismal record. SNC Lavalin, His Trip to India, Omar Khadr’s $10 million dollar payout, to name a few. I could honestly say that if I was the Prime Minister, I would be ready, willing and able to defend my record. No questions asked. But, there have been so many times when you would here a question or some criticism from the Opposition and he essentially wouldn’t say anything to answer the question. He would block Justice from being done. An example being when he first denied any wrongdoing on demoting Jody Wilson Raybould from the Attorney General portfolio. Of course he has stuff to hide and he did everything he could to try to cover it up. The Truth hurts, and sometimes it condemns.
The liberal slogan says enough about this. In 2015 it was “Real change (now).” Today it’s “Choose forward.” And that’s because he wants you to vote for him, without looking at the past four years. And I heard JT mention the other day that “we’ve done a lot of things the past four years, but we’re not finished yet.” Paraphrased. Maybe he’s not finished but I’ve had enough. Hope maybe you have too. Of course, Trudeau took criticism from the other leaders. And what did the Star Editorial Board have to say about this? Well, they didn’t think it was justified. Which, by the way, the free pass only applies to Trudeau because if Doug Ford was to miss a debate, well then they would be Outraged! So much for an Opinion.
I don’t want to talk about it.
Seriously though, If Justin Trudeau keeps missing these opportunities to talk to Canadians than he’s going to hurt himself. And people won’t tolerate it. This is how he’s behaving. By not showing up. The Opinion polls had the liberals virtually tied with the Conservatives, but if this continues you will see JT start to slump and Andrew Scheer start to increase. You’ll see liberals start to get nervous and will eventually start to see them pulling out all the stops. Watch for commercials that look like this. “If Stephen Harper was the PM, Canadian Troops would be fighting in Iraq.” Keep power at all costs. But It’s very revealing when you don’t want to show up to defend your record. It means you have a pretty bad record to defend. And I think it’s a matter of responsibility. Here is the latest:
You may be surprised but a politician needs someone who can fix things and can get things done and can cover up so nobody, like the general public can find out things. And Gerald Butts is that guy. They have been best friends since School. They are personal friends and share every piece of information. You’d better believe that Butts is, or was in on everything. Even though he resigned. He was also very powerful. He wasn’t a politician or an MP but he was more powerful than they are, which gives him the right to pressure those like Jody Wilson Raybould to make a decision that the Prime Minister likes, and to do so with the PM’s blessing. Yes he is more powerful than your Member of Parliament, not elected, answers to only Trudeau himself, and he is the guy that covers for his boss, Justin Trudeau. This was planned on from the beginning when Trudeau had literally just Won the election. Hiring him, and Katie Telford. Entitled to their entitlements.
This is how they wanted to do things from the beginning.
You can bet that if re-elected, it will stay the same. Even for Gerald Butts to be coming back in the PMO. But trust me, this will not change. And for that, Trudeau and the liberals should be thrown out of Office, because we as Canadians shouldn’t tolerate this kind of ethics. We should expect more out of our elected officials in Office. He’s only there to Cover up. He might call it protection, but when you’re trying to cover up for a Company that’s wanted on Corruption charges, than you’re trying to cover up. One more thing, Trudeau has had to cover Gerald’s Butt every so often. Like when he and Katie Telford spent an outrageous amount of Taxpayers money to move from Toronto to Ottawa, I mean, this is how much he wanted him on his team. He does get special privileges. And Taxpayers are paying for it. I also think it’s a lot. But it can be said that this guy flies a little below the Radar. We don’t know what he makes, but you can bet that he flies whenever and wherever he wants for free? Him and his family.
How about a nice vacation to Paris?
At taxpayers expense. Trudeau wanted him on his Team from the beginning. It’s safe to say that Trudeau made sure that he’s making not only six figures, but that he’s making and getting more than those in the PMO. He gets privilege where others don’t. But most of all he is Trudeau’s fix-it guy. He covers up for his own boss. Such as for the SNC Lavalin scandal. Which he resigned from. He’s not exactly a smart guy because he talks to the press, has given his opinion on issues like Climate Change. He thinks maybe he’s helping his boss but he should just keep his mouth shut and mind his own business. He is covering up for Trudeau, and his faults, and he wields a lot of power. Trudeau should remind him of that.
He flies below the Radar.
Trudeau should be thrown out because of this. Because this will not change him. It will mean more Scandal, more embarrassment, more cover-up. He will always think that he’s above the law and that he is privileged and entitled. He will always answer questions without actually giving an answer. He’ll do this with media and in Question Period.
Do you honestly want MORE of the same stuff?
I don’t. Honestly, Stephen Harper and I don’t think Andrew Scheer will do the same. No Cover-up. Vote for someone else. Throw out Justin Trudeau and these liberals. Enough is enough!
