An Election Issue. Pipelines.

It’s hard to believe that the building of a pipeline between Alberta and the west coast of British Columbia can bring down the Trudeau liberals in Ottawa. But they’re not making any friends in all this. Certainly not in Alberta, not that they had many in that Province. And Alberta Premier Rachel Notley is not really a friend of Trudeau either. In light of the  Supreme Court ruling to quash the Trans Mountain Pipeline from being built, she has decided to take Alberta out of Ottawa’s Climate Change plan. And this is bad news for the liberals because well, Ontario wants out, so does I believe, Saskatchewan, and Alberta was going to leave in part because the unpopular NDP Government in Alberta. A new government would certainly take care of it. Turns out they don’t have too. With so much of the Country now going against the Climate Plan, is it really worth it now? I think Justin Trudeau’s biggest problem today is he can’t really get a break and, he’s not really a good leader who can make good decisions. I’ve said this from the beginning. He’s not a good leader.

But, I do think he’s a little better than Donald Trump.

The Supreme Court has made it’s decision. And it’s based of a few factors. The environmental assessment did not include the safe passage of killer whales and marine life in the Pacific Ocean. They have to do this in case there’s an oil leak that gets into the water. Also, the government failed to do adequate consultation with the First Nations, who would see the pipeline being built through their territory. Again, if there happens to be a leak? Someone would have to go fix it, perhaps on short notice. This may not be good for everyone or everything around it. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be built. Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says she is pulling Alberta out of the Federal Climate Program until Ottawa and Justin Trudeau can get their act together and get this Pipeline built. The Supreme Court released it’s Statement at 10:30 a.m. and at 11am the Shareholders at Kinder Morgan Canada Ltd. voted 99 per cent in favor of the sale of the Pipeline to the Federal Government.

This was for $4.5 Billion dollars.

And, because of protesters (There’s a lot of that), plus the failed assessment, it may not be built. That’s $4.5 billion that goes out the window for a pipeline that’s not complete. Of course Andrew Scheer is opposed because a government shouldn’t be buying a pipeline to get it built. I think he’s right. I think that’s asking for trouble, and, the trouble came this week. A failed assessment handed down by the Supreme Court. You can’t defend that in Parliament and to the people because they didn’t have to buy it, for what ultimately wasn’t built or won’t be built.

This is basically a foolish way of wasting money. The government doesn’t know how to do business.

Trudeau keeps on insisting that the pipeline will be built. Finance Minister Bill Morneau keeps criticizing the previous Government for a flawed Pipeline deal. But again, the liberals didn’t have to pay Kinder Morgan for half a pipeline. Rachel Notley thinks it can be done come time for January. But, she wants it done soon. I’d want it done too.

To make it short, Justin is in my opinion an over-privileged geek. He’s had everything given to him. It reminds me of Psalm 73 where the author speaks those who are arrogant, and have no struggles. This is second time he’s been 24 Sussex Drive. Except, it’s under construction and nobody lives there. Maybe he’ll teach his kids to do the same. He doesn’t show up at Parliament Hill, he often takes days off. He’s off doing something else. If this is the kind of change he was talking about before the election, well I don’t want anything to do with it because not showing up at Parliament Hill is like not showing up for work. I think most people will agree. Parliament will reconvene on September 17th. That’s on a Monday. Let’s see if he shows up every day through the week. 17- 21. I don’t think he’s done an honest day’s work. I think he can be smart guy. He’s been to University. He’s smarter than Trump. But, he needs to improve his leadership skills. He needs to make better decisions. If you don’t do anything about something, it only makes matters worse.

I hate to say it because I’ve never heard of this before, not in my lifetime, but the Opposition Conservatives are strong, Andrew Scheer is an exceptional leader. This, even after Maxime Bernier leaving. If the liberals win next year, well, the Conservatives could give them a run for their money. One Term in power. I’ve not heard of that in my lifetime. But it could happen this time. The Conservatives need to establish policy around Pipelines so they can prove to Albertans and the rest of Canada that they can get that pipeline built and producing and transporting oil big time. They must prove that they can do it, and the liberals can’t. They have a lot of work to do. It may still take years. But if they can do it, they’ll be around for years to come. I wish them well.

Please remember: The second pipeline is being built alongside the first one which was built in 1953.

Province to take partial control of TTC

The Ontario government has a plan to take over partial control of TTC. Specifically the Subway system. You should note that the previous administration wanted to do the same. I don’t have a Opinion on what the Star Editorial Board thought of this. If I did, I could compare what the two pieces said. Right now, It’s being written as being a sceptical  piece.

I initially thought the Province was taking over for financial reasons. That the Ontario Government was taking over the most expensive part of the TTC and it’s operations. That makes sense. I first heard about this on TV. The other advantages are some accounting rules that are in place that the Province could take advantage of that the City of Toronto cannot. Also, the Province could run things more smoothly and efficiently  when financing construction for new subway lines. This by amortizing the costs over the life of new projects. It sounds like a good idea. Any idea on paper sounds good. But, it still has to be done. And when something goes wrong, well, this liberal supporting newspaper will be on top of it and will no doubt be throwing the mud at this government. Rightfully so. They don’t need to be skeptical.

It means that this reporter will be working hard to get a lot of answers. They question everything you say. They take what you’ve said in the past on the subject. There’s one sentence in the column that mentions Doug Ford during the election saying he wanted to expand the Subway line all the way to Pickering. Is it going to happen? Probably not. Not during the first four years of this government. So why write something so skeptical. It should be noted that for many years, as far back as I can remember the Ontario Government has been financially assisted by the Government of Ontario. It’s on all buses, streetcars and subways.

If you look at it, the Province of Ontario is offering good news to the City of Toronto, because it means that the City does not have to pay out to so many more millions of dollars subway service. But, and this is a big one, What if the Province was dumping a whole bunch of responsibility onto the City? Remember, When the new mega-city came into being back in 1998, the City had new responsibilities. One was TTC. The City was given new powers within jurisdiction, but was not anywhere near the amount it would be paying out. That’s my opinion. And if this was the Province telling the City to pay for it’s own transit, there’d be hell to pay. The media would be having a field day with this government. Rightfully so too.

Former Mayor David Miller Rebuffed liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty who suggested that Metrolinx, the Provincial Transit Agency take over the TTC.

And if you read into that, it proves that the previous liberal government wanted to do the same. And I wonder what the Star newspaper would have written about that! Definitely not to skeptical. Also for the record, David Miller is against the idea and of course, Andrea Horwath. The Transportation critic for the Oppostion is Jessica Bell, and she says, more money should be put into the Transit system instead of uploading the subway system. There’s more to this, but you can read the excerpt that I’ve included with this posting. But, If you look at their two headlines, “Do Tories really have better way for TTC?”, “Experts fear upload will impact future plans,” they both suggest skepticism, caution against this Ontario PC Government. Also, they throw it on the front page for all to see. If, this had happened with David Miller as Mayor and Dalton McGuinty as Premier, it would have been defended by this newspaper. If it became controversial, it would have been hidden and forgotten. Letters from readers would have a majority of writers supporting the idea. However controversial. Like things Minimum Wage at $14 bucks an hour. Coffee costing more. Controversial like Justin Trudeau and his grabbing of a woman and her breasts in B.C. 18 years ago. Things that are liberal, are not always right. You cannot tell the truth when you’re seeing things through red sunglasses. It needs to stop. Skepticism means:

Inclined to skepticism: having an attitude of doubt; Doubtful about a particular thing.

But one thing is for sure. A different story would have been written If this was Kathleen Wynne instead of Doug Ford. For this reason, I think noboby should be reading or buying Toronto Star newspapers. Here is the latest:

https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2018/08/24/experts-fear-for-torontos-long-term-transit-plans-if-province-moves-to-upload-parts-of-the-ttc.html

P.S. The picture shows how many newspapers. Which shows how many were sold that day. The Star has more newspapers than any other being sold, which means it’s selling less. An example of it’s reporting and journalism.

Doug Ford and his record, so far.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford has a very ambitious agenda. He’s done things to help lower taxes, though, there is no budget yet, that I think will have to wait until next year. The price of gas has gone down. Ten cents a litre which is what he promised. I’m quite sure he’ll do his best to make it lower, and keep his promises. In every announcement, he has a saying, “Promise made, promise kept.” During the election, everyone knew he was on record as saying he would scrap the SexEd curriculum. Now that he’s done it, he’s getting a lot of Opposition, from the Leader of the Opposition Andrea Horwath, as well as Teachers and their Unions, who threaten to continue with the current curriculum which teaches about same sex marriage. The Union will support any teacher who in fact disobey the government’s agenda. This I think is wrong. But I think some things should be included such as Cyberbullying. The government’s agenda is to implement the STEM education pedagogy to students. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. These I think are essential for learning. But, Andrea Horwath doesn’t like the idea. All the time and continually, the Opposition and MSM are referring to the curriculum as being 20 years old, when in natural fact, it was actually started twenty years ago and then changed in 2015.

That’s Three years ago, not Twenty!

Andrea Horwath, she’s wasn’t opposed to it. The point being she wasn’t the Premier then and she isn’t now. And she’s not going to be for a while either. Meanwhile, Doug Ford who is the Premier, continues with his ambitious Agenda by reducing the amount of City Council Seats from 47 to 24. And I’m sure nobody saw this coming. I certainly didn’t. I didn’t know it was possible. Of course the Opposition is opposed, and the City of Toronto is against it. They say it was done in the middle of an election. But you should note that a Municipal election is not run the same as a Provincial or Federal election. There’s no evidence of an election going on. There’s no signs, placards, no commercials, nobody really is paying attention. I would say that maybe a poll could be conducted to see if an individual person could identify the Councillor in his/her riding. Which is currently 44. I think it is. It was suppose to increase to 47, but Premier Doug Ford is bringing it down to 24. The City, which includes the Mayor John Tory, is challenging the legislation and taking it to Court. John Tory, who is Conservative is probably not opposed to the idea, but the timing is well, not very good. But let’s ask the most difficult question.

Is this the Right Time?

Well, the alternative is that it waits. For four more years. Until there is another election. That’s more waste, more red tape, more bureaucracy, the City Council will still be opposed against, The Opposition at Queen’s Park will be also. If this happened four or five years down the road, Andrea Horwath would be vowing to scrap the idea, once becoming Premier. You better believe it.

In closing, I’d like to say that now would be a good time to see where Doug Ford and his PC Government stands among voters. He certainly did things to get the people’s attention. But is his following still strong? My personal opinion is YES! Because, as much as some people want him out, he’s still following his agenda. He was just in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he addressed the Conservative Convention. He’s doing very well, very confident in himself. Feeling pretty good. I pray that he will seek wisdom from God and to know what to do next. It’s up to him to do that. So this is my latest posting, unfortunetely, I’ve not included an excerpt. Have a great day. May the Lord bless you.

Reducing City Seats to 24

Hello. When I first heard about this, I didn’t have any idea that the Premier had this much Power. But if you can imagine, It’s actually written in the Constitution. He has the right. But his timing is wrong. Nevertheless he has introduced legislation to reduce the number of seats on Toronto City Council from 47 to 24 which is nearly half the seats that City Council deploys. Premier Doug Ford is doing this in line with the Federal and Provincial ridings within Toronto. He’s also doing this during an election campaign, which actually started May 1. Naturally, people and Councillors at City Hall are just downright Outraged! He can’t do that in the middle of a Campaign. Councillors are hiring lawyers, they are fighting this. They’re taking the Ontario Government to Court.

Premier Doug Ford is defending his decision. But first, you should know what I think of all this. It’s the right decision. I didn’t know he had this much power. His timing is wrong. But, what would have happened if Doug Ford waited for another four years? Well, I think it would be safe to say that City Councillors would still be upset at the matter. For the record there are 11 Councillors who are in favor of the idea. Also, the media such as the Toronto Star would be opposed. There was a nice column about it in today’s paper. They also had a nice Commentary about our personal security and identity in yesterday’s Commentary. For that I give them thumbs up for our protection. I would encourage you to read it.

We should all remember that Toronto City Council is already slow, bloated, it moves like a snail, it gets things wrong. An example being of a local man who heard from City Hall about a set of stairs that would cost between $65,000 and $150,000. They were to be built at a local park. The man built them himself for $550.00. I think this includes labor and material. The City tore them down and redid them for $10,000. Is that ridiculous?

The things that City has to deal with are housing, garbage, transit, infrastructure (this is roads, bridges and highways), Police. These areas all need funding. It must be voted on by City Councillors. The City Budget must be approved. If you’re the Mayor, you probably want to deal with 24 Councillors instead of 47. And my impression is these Councillors all have to talk to each other and negotiate to get their ideas approved before City Council. Because some, which includes the Mayor, may want more money for the Police, a particular bridge they want built or repaired in their Ward, but they need City approval. You need everybody to be on board. You also need certain departments to call Contractors, to find the right price. To actually build. It all takes time and money. It’s all very slow. It can be expensive as we’ve already seen.

If you’re the Mayor, you probably want to deal with 24 Councillors instead of 47.

I can remember a traffic intersection in Scarborough that always gave an advance green to drivers going into Costco. Every time I saw that light, I was under the impression that Costco was paying or was speaking to someone high up in Government to have that light turn green for drivers. That place was and still is doing a jam up business. Always busy. Lots of cars, lots of people. The advance green helps them. You need help when running a business. City Council can probably help you.

The Opposition is well opposed. No surprise there. Andrea Horwath, the leader of the oppostion is accusing Doug Ford of hiding this from the taxpayers, that he was planning this from the beginning. Also that he’s trying to settle some scores from the days when he was a Councillor. Which was for only one term.

But when you really look at it, and what the people think, they see this as a bit shocking. It’s done so soon, during an election campaign which nobody was really paying attention to, and a  lot of angry people at City Hall and Queen’s Park. Doug said in all his career as a politician, he’s never had anyone tell him that they need more politicians. When it really comes down to it, people don’t really care about politicians. Even if they are about to lose their job. Which, this is shocking for them. But 11 of them are in favor of the slashing. They are very confident in winning.

But ultimately, nobody is going to miss these Councillors or remember them. I honestly don’t know who represents me locally in Mississauga. I’ve never paid attention to that. But, Rightly or Wrongly, people see government as fat, privileged, dysfunctional, self-serving, slow-moving bureaucracies that talk a great deal and accomplish very little. And that’s the truth. We know they’re screaming mad. And Andrea Horwath supports big big big government.

Today in Question Period at Queen’s Park the leader of the opposition had to defend her colleague after the Members opposite accused him of using a racial slur. It was awful. The Speaker had to close the session. When it continued, the government refused to answer any questions from the NDP, unless they apologized, which they never did. Outside the Legislature, Andrea Horwath defended her colleague and accused the Government of trying to close the session so that they wouldn’t have to answer any questions on the issue of City Council.

I think her colleague did say something that was very offensive.

But I’m not sure. This is a very close call. I can’t imagine Andrea Horwath being a liar. But she defended him at every turn. After that, she would have to be lying not just to Parliament, but also to the People. I just can’t say. What got the Governing Tories so upset? Is it a misunderstanding?

No matter what, these two parties have dug in and are going in opposite directions. They both have different ideas on how to run the Province. It’s going to be long and very loud in the Chamber for the next little while. Wait till there’s a budget. Tories will reduce taxes and dippers will double the size of government. That’s nothing to be proud of. I admire Premier Doug Ford for building a legacy. He may lose the next election, but they will NEVER change his legislation to reduce the number of Toronto City Councillors from 47 to 24. The Tories got something done. Yes!

Justin Trudeau and Apology

I’m writing this because if you look in any edition of the Toronto Star this week and you won’t hear a word on Justin Trudeau and his Scandalous Groping of a woman he grabbed 18 years ago. Some say he should resign, because he has already set a standard for people in his government to how they should conduct themselves. And HE is failing that standard. Power Corrupts Absolutely. He is a hypocrite. And I’ve seen it in people before. In the Bible, Jesus had very harsh words for people who were hypocrites. People like the pharisees. If you’re interested, you can read about, beginning in Matthew 23:13.

But I will say, that probably is not going to happen.

Stephen LeDrew who was just fired from CP24 called the standard “different” from everyone else. I call it a lower standard. As a powerful man, You should live by the standard you set for other people. But, I will say, that probably is not going to happen.

Read about this in the media. Well, I read the entire newspaper of the Toronto Star one day this week and did not see a word about it. Which was expected because they can’t say anything really awful about liberal Politicians now, can they. Not something this scandalous. But, one thing that I discovered is, that if you take a look at a live media scrum where the PM or a government MP is talking, you’ll discover that they may be talking about something like NAFTA. But when it comes time for questions from the media, which I’m sure Toronto Star is either there or at least watching, you’ll discover they want to ask him about the relationship with the girl 18 years ago. Of course, he has his answers. But, if you want to read about it in the Newspaper the next day or in a week, forget about it. I saw this on TV about a week ago, and I realized, this is what happens on a regular basis.

Ultimately, you will only read what they want to print.

This is what makes the media scandalous. Especially Toronto Star. Okay. In the upcoming video Stephen LeDrew compares Justin Trudeau to the U.S. President. Also, that if he doesn’t apologize than people around the World will just laugh at him when he speaks about women’s rights and that there are two sides to every story and he’s not living by it. He will be laughed at and, that is a way of saying they are laughing at him and laughing at Canada. Not good. Bad news for him. And for his popularity. People will start to support Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives. Good news. Here is the latest: Hope you enjoy. God bless.

Making gains in la Belle Province

In a recent by-election in Chicoutimi-Le Fjord, that’s in Quebec, the Conservatives won easily over the liberals and the NDP, who came a distant third. I dare say two things, first, the Bloq separatist party are no longer a political party of significance and the NDP are done. The new Member of Parliament will be Richard Martel. In the 2015 federal election in which the liberals gained a new Majority, and Justin Trudeau became the PM, there wasnt’t really much for the Conservatives to look forward too. They lost, they had a Majority. But, there was some good news. The Conservatives gained in Quebec. They went from 6 seats to 12. And they’ve just added one more. 13. I say Congratulations, they are on the right track. Gaining more and more seats in the french Province. They can finally reach out to to Quebecers with something that they want. They have a solid foundation, A good Leader (Andrew Scheer), who’s from Saskatchewan and speaks French.

So how did they do it?

I’m not trying to be proud or arrogant but that’s the best question to ask. They are winning, making more gains in Quebec. One thing I notice is that Quebecers like to be treated independently. Separate from the other Provinces.

Quebec actually handles federal revenue on behalf of Ottawa. Also, the Province has more control over culture and immigration. There’s one other thing. With the recent jump in Asylum seekers from the U.S. it actually has a disproportionate impact on the Province. Conservatives are being sensitive to that. Others things that matter are Name Recognition. Turns out that Richard Martel is a pretty popular name in Chicoutimi. Which is probably a good thing. In Toronto, Mel Lastman is popular. He would likely win a seat here.

Next year there will be another Federal election. In all likelyhood there will be at least a few changes in Quebec. As I said earlier, The Bloq  will be done and the NDP insignificant. They did finish a distant third in this bi-election. Which this means that those seats will be going to someone else. Conservative, liberal or possibly Green. We should look for changes in Quebec. The liberals will be fighting tooth and nail for seats in Quebec to hang on to their Majority. The column says they will want at least 20. And all at the expense of the Bloq and NDP. If you’re Conservative, you’d better be getting ready for a real fight in Quebec. Start planting. Get your Candidates out there campaigning, choosing the most popular, start gaining. It’s hard work campaigning, which I know to well. In the most recent Ontario Election I was out and about in each neighbourhood asking people if they’d decided who they would be voting for in the election. We visited a Mosque, houses and apartments. On hot days and rainy. It’s a lot of work. The Candidate has to take some time off work which is for what? fortunately our Candidate won. But for the others well, you get the picture. It requires perseverance. You may not win.

http://nationalpost.com/opinion/john-ivison-byelection-result-confirms-quebec-is-a-two-horse-race-for-the-first-time-in-nearly-20-years

So far so good.

Premier Designate Doug Ford is keeping to his word of lowering taxes, Gas prices, Climate Change which believe it or not, is affecting the price we are paying at the gas pumps. In Ontario, the average price is over a dollar a litre, which thanks to these liberals, won’t be going down.

If, you want to know the Biggest difference you could see in the election result it was probably that Kathleen Wynne  was promising the world to everyone and Doug was ultimately promising to spend a lot less than the liberals and NDP. All through the campaign, you could hear Kathleen and Andrea Horwath mention about Doug Ford for not presenting a fully costed platform. As if it mattered. Maybe he didn’t have too. Because he was the only one talking about spending less, lower hydro rates, lower gas prices. You ask my opinion and that’s something I’d likely be interested in hearing. Forget about the price. Deal with that later.

Anyways, Mr. Ford has met with Chrystia Freeland and is ready to work in support with her and Justin Trudeau. He wants this Trade dispute with the U.S. and these tariffs done away with. ASAP. And that tells that he’s a smart man and knows how to take a position in a situation. Sometimes liberals and Conservatives, because they can meet somewhere down the middle of the political spectrum, they can agree with each other.

Not NDP though. They are a political party with extreme policies, like their refusal to order back to work legislation to union supporters who happen to be on strike.

Further to Mr. Doug Ford, he will be scrapping Ontario’s Cap and Trade Carbon Tax. This is the one that gives us high gas prices. He will also be challenging the Federal Government’s Authority to impose a carbon tax. They will challenge it legally.

If they are unsuccessful, they will definitely work to ease the tax burden on the Province by giving a tax break of some kind. But in short, I think he’s off to a good start. Of course others would say otherwise. But, he’s doing what he said. And if he stays with that course, he and his Members will be successful. I just pray he seeks God for wisdom.

Here’s the latest:

Continue reading “So far so good.”

A Progressive Conservative Majority.

PTL. We have a PC Majority government in Ontario. No more Kathleen Wynne, no liberals to tax us to death. Now it’s lower taxes, lower gas prices and a smaller Hydro Bill. The hydro bill affects me too, as someone who rents a room inside a house because my landlord ultimately pays for hydro but if he paying some ridiculous amount, well my rent goes up to help pay for it. Anyways, it hasn’t taken long for the Toronto Star to start taking it’s shots at the new Premier designate Doug Ford. He hasn’t even been sworn in yet. This piece is on Proportional Representation. It tells what Queens Park would look like in a PR system. Here’s what it actually looks like. PC 76, NDP 40, Liberals 7, Green 1.

The headline read: ” Election results revive calls for change” The PC’s had 40.6% of support. They won 76 Seats. If you read the column, you never hear of who’s calling for a change to a PR system. No names, or organization. What it says is that these things are well, going to happen somewhere else. In Quebec and B.C. This may be a legitimate cause to write a column about it. But, I don’t think it’s going to happen that way. No proportional system. Not this year. But I think the Star is mad now that Doug Ford is going to be Premier. For that, I would stop reading their newspaper.

The Star “complains” that Doug Ford now has control over all of Ontario, with less than half the people who voted for him. He also didn’t have interest in changing to a PR system. But, he hasn’t even had a chance. It says “with a clear majority of 60 per cent on the outside looking in,” one could argue the liberals who won in 2014 with 37.6% of the vote. 58 Seats. They had more than 60% of voters who didn’t vote for them. That includes me. Any complaints there? No. Not a word. And then you could ask the question,

What if the liberals won on Thursday night?

I dare venture a guess that none of this would have been printed in a Toronto Star newspaper. I don’t think anyone is interested in a PR system here in Ontario. And a newly elected PC Government shouldn’t be blamed for it either. I personally am not interested in changing our current system. Because in this past election, I volunteered to work as a Scrutineer and I saw first hand what exactly goes into democratic system.

The People at Elections Ontario are very skilled and experienced and dedicated to making sure our democracy is done accurately. Every ballot is accounted for. Nothing is forgotten or left behind. The same can be said about Elections Canada. There’s no need for change. It’s excellent. I’d like to see if there’s a  Toronto Star reporter that has anything to say about the people in our electoral system. If so, he might end up getting himself shot. It’s impossible to be telling the truth when or even to form an opinion if you have a newspaper that supports a liberal over a Conservative. My opinion is, don’t read it, don’t buy it. From this point on, it’s Doug Ford. Take care.

Liberals fall to Third place.

Well, here we are in the middle of an Ontario election campaign and the governing liberals have fallen to third place in polling. Behind Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservatives, and Andrea Horwath and the NDP. It usually happens that way doesn’t it. Whenever liberals falls, the NDP gain. But it’s not usually enough for these extreme left wing politicos to form government. Not federally at least. Here are the latest numbers.

Progressive Conservatives 42%, NDP 28%, Liberals 22%

Doug Ford is making mistakes, and he needs to clean up his act. But he can still win. There’s one thing to make note of, and it’s this. This weekend could be a very revealing moment. It’s the Victoria Day long weekend and we’re going to doing things like visiting family and going to the Cottage and our vote make not be firm just yet. But usually by the end of it we’ve made up our minds. So if Doug can hang on until say one week from now, he should be in good shape. This weekend is pivotal. But,

I think Kathleen Wynne and the liberals are AS GOOD AS TOAST.

My Opinion is that what can she possibly do now to get voters attention? To change people’s mind over this coming weekend? Look for the liberals to get really down and desperate, and dirty before the weekend ends, because she needs to change voters minds before it’s to late. This long weekend will be the time. If you don’t hear anything, then people will just ignore her. She’s going to be working her fanny off. Here is the latest.

The Lord bless you and keep you.

The Stars’ Editorial biased opinion.

It may be that it’s taken a few days to say this but well, the words from the Star editorial board won’t be going away. Their obvious liberal slant and hatred of Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford and Conservatives in general. Here’s the definition of What Journalism means.

“Writing that reflects superficial thought and research, a popular slant, and hurried composition, conceived of as exemplifying topical newspaper or popular magazine writing as distinguished from scholarly writing.”

It can be said that these people are superficial and bias against Police and Conservatives, one need only look at a recent Headline that said “Police training falls short, report finds” which, this is only six, count them, six whole days after a police officer refused to shoot a suspect for his actions on Yonge Street. That man is still alive because of the training and experience of a Police Officer. So, police training not good enough? I don’t think so. Unless you work at One Yonge Street. You know, they should realize that people like police more than politicians.

Let’s go further. They don’t like Doug Ford. They make an emphasis on Doug not having the media follow him to every rally. Well, I’d like to say that the media, TV, reporters, and journalists are still invited to follow. And I emphasize this too. They are invited and will continue to be invited to every location that Doug Ford visits. Question, is there any issues with Kathleen Wynne or Andrea Horwath? Do they allow the media to follow their campaign buses? I hear Andrea has a really nice looking one.

And hey, if I’m able to find out about Where Doug Ford is going to be, they should be able to find him too.

This Board says he’s trying to camouflage his evasiveness. On Tuesday May 8th I saw Doug Ford talking on TV about his rally at the Congress Centre that was later in the day. In it, he invited the members of the media, who were obviously present on camera, and they were all applauding.

Evasive? Secretive? I don’t think so.

This Board also says “he ducks reporters at every turn.” Well, if he is what they call, Avoiding the media at almost every given opportunity, I don’t agree with this accusation because I’ve seen Mr. Ford on Television pretty much every day since he, Kathleen, and Andrea Horwath have been campaigning. Which has been going on for a month. Let’s be serious Toronto Star Editorial Board. If I was in Doug’s position, I may be inclined not to visit your building or answer any questions at all by any Star employee. That’s my position. You’re so very biased. So why would I be giving you ammunition whatsoever?

The board accuses Doug of get this, FAKE NEWS! which, this sounds a lot like when Kathleen Wynne compared Doug Ford to Donald Trump. Sounds familiar? It was back on April 19th that it was mentioned.

“This exercise is the very definition of fake news.” That is their exact line. They go on to explain what fake news is. But it can’t be related to Doug Ford, because First, Doug Ford is in the news. Accusing him of making fake news is like saying he’s not being who he is. Or he’s lying to the people. One could say that the Right Honourable Jean Chretien is creating fake news because he said before becoming Prime Minister that he would get rid of the GST which he knows everybody hated. The Star points that the limit, is news that is fact-checking and has accountability. But (this is my opinion), it also says superficial. So, it’s very shallow, it’s doing things on short notice. Like checking your facts. And because it’s done by human beings there can be mistakes also. Which leads to this.

An editorial board should be able to draw on a conclusion, that reflects what most or all of it’s readers tend to believe, based on its Opinion. And I think, that almost all the people in Toronto know and trust the Police, and when there needs to be a change in Government. I’m able to make decisions that affect my life based on the shallow or superficial information I already have in my mind. So the question is,

Why can’t the 10 or 12 people on this Editorial Board do the same?

I have heard that these and other people do their research and check their facts by searching the archives for previous stories they have printed. I wonder how much good it does them. I’ll close with this. This, is their Opinion. And it stinks. But no matter what, you’d better believe that if this is what they’re writing about him now, wait until later, it’ll get a lot worse. That’s not telling the truth. And, in fact, they could have done something better by writing on another topic instead of Doug Ford. I could talk  about the one or two guys who still owe me money to this day, but I don’t because it’s irrelevant.

Fifteen years of liberals in this Province is enough. A Star Editorial Board could go for 15 more. If that isn’t a biased opinion I don’t know what it is. It’s wrong, you can’t give a proper opinion when you’re this opinionated. What I could honestly say is, I wish they would just go away. For good.

I am not including the Editorial because they don’t deserve it. I hope, you will respect my opinion on this matter, I can’t stand liars. Neither does God. He will forgive them though through His Son Jesus. God bless you.
